PLATINUM JUBILEE

 

Last weekend, the United Kingdom celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

People came from all over the U.K to pay a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.

They were here to celebrate her 70th year of reign.

The Queen appeared at the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the Trooping the Colour.

This is a military parade which takes place every year in June, but which was much larger this year.

British planes' surprise: a giant 70 in the sky in honour of the Queen

 

On Friday, there was a mass* (*messe) celebrated in St Paul's Cathedral, but the Queen did not attend* (*assister) it. She was too tired.

On the contrary, Harry and Meghan were there with the other family members.

On Saturday night, there was a huge* (*énorme) concert, just in front of Buckingham Palace.

 

 

Many stars were invited and sang for the Queen:

The concert started with a surprise from the Queen, who has a great sense of humour, made a surprise.

Many other celebrities left her a "Thank you ma'am" video message.

And of course, her son Prince Charles and her grandson Prince William also paid a tribute live on stage* (sur scène):

 

 

There were 22, 000 guests* (*invités)!

On Sunday, people organised Street parties. They are gigantic picnics between neighbours* (*voisins).

    Unfortunately I wasn't home to watch the Queen's jubilee !
    So, I count on you to write an article with the recap of all the festivities and major events, as well as all the people or declarations to remember from the last few days !
