TOM MOORE IS 100!
Thomas MOORE a.k.a* (*also known as = alias) Captain Moore became a national hero this year
by walking in his garden to raise money* (*collecter de l'argent) for the hospitals.
He raised £32, 000, 000!!!
What is extraordinary is that this former* (* ancien) soldier for the British army is not young!
He turned* (*ici: il a eu) 100 on April 30th.
On that day, a national ceremony was organized to celebrate his hundredth* (*centième) birthday.
Queen Elizabeth II promoted him to honorary* (*à titre honorifique) Colonel.
He received thousands* (* des milliers) of birthday cards which were collected in a huge storehouse* (*entrepôt).

SPACEX - A HISTORICAL MOMENT
On Saturday, May, 30th 2020, SpaceX’s Crew* (*équipage) Dragon became the first private spacecraft* (*vaisseau spatial) to carry humans into orbit.
It was the first time in nearly a decade* (* décennie) that NASA astronauts had launched* (*lancer) into orbit from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
There were 2 NASA astronauts in this flight* (* vol) : Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley.
The aim* (*but) of their mission is to spend an extended stay* (*séjour) at the space station* (*station spatiale).
It's called for the Demo-2 mission. They don't know how long they will stay* (*rester) in the space station yet, but it will be minimum a month.
