WORLD FOOD DAY
On Monday, October 16th is WORLD FOOD DAY*.
It is intended* (*ici: il a été créé dans l'intention de) to help raise awareness* (*sensibiliser) about hunger* (*la faim) and poverty* (*la pauvreté) around the world.
It offers the opportunity to strengthen* (*renforcer) national and international solidarity in the fight to end* (*mettre fin) hunger, malnutrition, and poverty.
It also commemorates the founding* (*la fondation) of the United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization back in 1945.

Hi teacher,
I didn't know about World Food Day, so thank you very much for this post and for the all the activities you suggest to do in class.
I shall remember this date and think about working on this issue with my own students.
