POUR traduire POUR, comment fait-on?

1) Si c'est un verbe après, on met TO.

Ex: Je travaille pour avoir de bonnes notes. I work TO get good marks.

2) Si c'est autre chose (pronom, nom, groupe nominal...) après, on met FOR.

Ex: Ce cadeau est pour toi. This gift if FOR you.
